Interaktive Newswall

Since 2020, tennagels Medientechnik and the Rheinische Post have joined forces to present themselves as a successful creative team. Together, the two partners developed an ultra-modern concept for redesigning the former display showcases inside the Schadow Arcade located in the heart of Düsseldorf’s city centre.

As a specialist for customer-specific LED installations, tennagels has takes an innovative approach in its display of a unique range of informative content. The variety of interactive selection options for various topics, and their intuitive use, elevate the respected newspaper’s traditional medium to a completely new level.

Multi-Touch on 8 square meters

Three multitouch capable 98 inch displays form a single interactive news wall with a width of 3.73 m and a height of 2.18 m. Over an area of more than 8 m2, interested persons can use hundreds of Touchpoints simultaneously. The content displayed on the digital wall is updated every three minutes, parallel to the RP ONLINE news service. The content covers the classic sections: politics, business or sports, as well as current weather reports, reports on the regional traffic conditions or the local calendar of events.

Intuitive and accessible for people with impairments

As a socially responsible medium, the Rheinische Post also assumes a key role in the area of inclusion. Especially developed barrier-free applications within the media wall contribute to an equal opportunity information policy. By touching a button, the entire operating surface of the digital wall is shifted to a height that allows wheelchair users to take full advantage of the information offered. In addition, the font size of the text can be increased. For people with limited technical affinity, an interactive guide provides simple instructions for simplified use of the intuitive interface.

The special development by tennagels Medientechnik offers a customized digital solution for the client Rheinische Post and as well as for interested users who want to access a variety of up-to-date information on a modern medium.
