Development

From the first spark of creativity to the realised special solution - we push the boundaries of what is possible in LED and media technology.

Experience top-class media technology with tennagels

tennagels Medientechnik GmbH is a pioneer in the field of LED and media technology. Our expertise extends to research and development, where we specialise in special solutions at the highest level. Unlike traditional media technology integrators, we go beyond the usual boundaries.

Our approach starts with the initial idea and leads through feasibility studies to development – all in clearly structured steps. We take all the necessary certifications into account and pass rigorous tests to achieve the perfect technical solution.

Our resources are diverse: We have our own EMC laboratory, a solar simulation, a climate chamber and a team of electronics developers, programmers and designers. We have specialists in every area of media technology who contribute their expertise.

We are particularly proud of our two integrated research laboratories at Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences, which were developed in collaboration with the Department of Media Informatics by Prof Geiger. This unbeatable network of expertise enables us to develop innovative solutions and always offer our customers the best.

3D Simulation

With our experts and partners, we are able to create comprehensive pre-visualisations of projects. Whether in a pure 3D visualisation or in a walk-in VR simulation that uses visuals, sounds and other methods to address all the senses in an immersive way and fully represent the planned installation. In this way, we make the solutions tangible right from the planning phase.

Application & system programming

We develop modern systems and applications for you with possible interfaces to existing structures. This can be a purely technical integration in the background, for controlling or analysing your data. With extensive experience in visualisation and interaction technologies, we can also bring the project to life and provide interactive, user-based experiences.

Feasibility study

In a feasibility study, we support customers and planners with the evaluation of complex media systems. In addition to analysing the photometric properties with regard to the desired content, aspects such as mechanical resilience, aesthetic integration, heat management, ease of service, etc. are also examined.

Technology

In a world permeated by technology, we are faced with constantly growing challenges. We are not technophobes – on the contrary. We love technology and see in it the potential to change the world. We are not deterred by almost unsolvable technical problems. On the contrary, they are an incentive and motivation for us.

You can recognise a really good idea by the fact that its realisation appears to be excluded.

Future-proof DooH - with the Natural Vertical Urban Screen from tennagels

It is also possible to stage the plants in color. The color scheme can be matched to the content, increasing the attractiveness of the advertising space. For example, with magenta content on the screen, the entire greenery could light up in magenta.

Green facades has well-known benefits, promoting biodiversity, regulating the ambient temperature, reducing CO2 and upgrading the appearance of urban spaces.

The combination of the above-mentioned details on the Natural Vertical Urban Screen may simplify the approval process for these installations.

Integrated Media

Large LED screens are the advertising medium of the future. Thanks to their size and often special formats, they reach a broad target group in public spaces and offer advertisers a creative playing field – for example by displaying content with the so-called “naked eye 3D effect”.

However, large LED screens also have disadvantages. High energy consumption, light emissions and negative impact on the architectural environment. The Natural Vertical Urban Screen from tennagels builds on precisely these disadvantages.

The LED rods can also be fitted with additional LEDs to the rear, which shine onto the greenery. When switched on, these LEDs increase the transparency and visibility of the greenery and promote plant growth – which can be particularly interesting in the darker seasons.
