LED outdoor experience in the Wilopark
A special solution like this proves that modern architecture is effective, exciting and unique. And that it is the interface between functionality and entertainment. By the way: At 324 m², the mega screen in Wilopark is the largest outdoor screen in Germany ever installed on a company site.
Challenges allow us to grow
We gain important experience during the construction phase. The project in Wilopark is exemplary. The unusual width of the screen required a special solution, because the different expansion of the LED cabinets produced compared to the supporting steel structure and sliding support had to be compensated for when the temperature changed. This now also works in the area of the 90° corners, without visible gaps appearing over the course of the year. Projects like these prove that everything starts with imagination and progressive action.
Delivering presentable results
At 324 m², the U-shaped façade of the technical center forms one of the largest outdoor LED walls in Germany. Two side wings, each 9.00 m long, flank a 28.00 m long and 7.00 m high digital building front, whose pixels are only 5.95 mm apart. This outdoor LED installation fits perfectly into the first futuristic architecture on a German company campus. The result is a unique customized LED solution.
Creating visibility for the brand
As the world’s leading premium supplier of pumps and pump systems, Wilo is building Germany’s largest industrial construction project in Dortmund on 194,000 square meters by 2022. We are therefore proud to have been involved in the realization of the outdoor LED installation. Its enormous luminosity attracts particular attention, especially as it is located at the most frequented site in the Wilopark.
