Project wins Red Dot Design Award in the “Digital Art Installation” category
The almost 60m² “LED ceiling sail” has now officially been named reddot winner 2022 (source: here) in the Brands & Communication Design category as a digital art installation. The conceptual collaboration with the full-service agency Mehnert Corporate Design and the creative LED specialist tennagels Medientechnik resulted in a unique experience that casts the foyer of the mechanical engineering company WILO SE, headquartered in Dortmund, in a proverbial digital light. The 401 double, interlinked LED elements are concentrated in the middle, similar to a mosaic, and drift a little further apart at the edges. In this way, both the dynamism of the company and the harmony of the overall picture should be emphasized and guaranteed. The sandwich-like arrangement allows two different images to be created via the elements – one radiates upwards, the other downwards.
