More Information
tennagels Medientechnik GmbH has built something that is unique in the world - a multimedia hybrid of escape room, submarine simulator and theme park ride. Together with our customer P&O Cruises, this unique experience will set sail on board the Arvia this year under the name "Mission Control".

More than three years of development

With our team of software developers, media technicians, electricians, carpenters, metalworkers, actors and more, we were able to realize this complex project, which took more than 1,800 hours to program. In terms of content, guests on the Arvia cruise ship experience an excursion on the Arvia II research submarine. After receiving a short briefing in the hangar and having their role on board explained, the new crew of the research submarine literally dives into an exciting underwater adventure. For example, you can still see the cruise ship on which you are spending your vacation through the periscope and then go on a big research mission. In addition to the adventure, the crew playfully gets to know the deep sea and its inhabitants and finds out how fragile the habitat is, which is worth protecting.

Digital immersion with all the senses

While the crew is in the middle of the adventure, they hardly realize that this is just a simulation. More than forty displays have been installed in and on the 10 working consoles, all of which are necessary for solving the puzzles. More than 300 knobs, buttons and design elements, together with the media server system on over fifty computers, ensure that the submarine feeling is transferred to the guest. The hydraulic platform synchronized with the adventure, on which the submarine is located, together with the LED cube (with a fine pixel pitch of 1.6 mm) ensures that the immersive adventure looks even more real.

(…)so we came to Düsseldorf and we found a technology company that specialized in things that had never been done before(…)as the customer reports in its teaser film for the experience.
Together with our partners, we were able to set up another project where you can say – typical tennagels.
